Hyderabad’s Sarath City Mall Solves Parking Nightmares with New 22-Foot Ramp

October 11, 2025

The pain of exiting Sarath City Mall’s parking in Hyderabad is now a thing of the past! After months of shopper headaches and gridlocks, Kondapur’s popular mall has opened a shiny new 22-foot-wide exit ramp linking the parking directly to the busy Gachibowli–Miyapur road. Imagine being stuck for over an hour trying to leave the parking, especially on weekends. This was the daily nightmare for thousands. Complaints poured in on Reddit and X, where frustrated visitors shared tales of long hours trapped underground. One Reddit user said, "We spent more than an hour today driving out of the mall parking, that too with little kids. There is not a single person from mall management to regulate the traffic. I've seen better parking management in tier-2 towns." Another fan of fine parking analysis explained, "For vehicles parked on B3 there is always some flux in above floors… the ones on the upward exit ramp are always treated with new vehicles from B2 and same for B2 vehicles near B1 ramp. That’s why vehicles move slower on B3, slightly faster on B2 and fastest on B1." The problem didn’t stop inside the mall; traffic jams plagued the nearby junction too. A user said, "Not just mallgoers, that junction is a nightmare for people living around that area." To crush this chaos, Cyberabad traffic police teamed up with mall authorities to build a smart 22-feet (6.7 meters) wide ramp from the B1 parking level straight to Kothaguda X Roads. This new exit, which opened around Dasara on October 2, 2025, even has a separate bike exit and flows smoothly into the wide 60-feet main road. Madhapur DCP (Traffic) T. Sai Manohar revealed, "The mall parking has a capacity of about 3,600 vehicles, but on weekends, over 10,000 moving vehicles are recorded at the mall. The new exit ramp has reduced pressure on the earlier single route, cutting waiting times by at least 15-20 minutes per vehicle and offering alternate exits for smoother flow." Without this ramp, vehicles got stuck for over an hour in tight basement lanes, causing traffic jams stretching nearly half a kilometer to the Kothaguda junction. Now, scenes have changed dramatically. A retail store owner smiled, "Earlier, during peak hours, it took 40 to 45 minutes just to exit the parking lot. Even now, weekends are busy, but the new ramp has made things far better. What used to take 45 minutes now takes around 20." Shopper Nikhil happily shared, "We got out of the parking in under 20 minutes on Tuesday. A win, considering we waited over an hour just two weeks ago." So, the big question: Is Sarath City Mall finally winning the battle against parking chaos? Looks like the answer is a big, fat YES!
