A rollercoaster of speed, skill, and excitement unfolded on Saturday at Coimbatore's Kari Motor Speedway, where the third round of the Indian Racing Festival roared to life! Supported by JK Tyre, Nayara Energy, and Mobil1, the festival showcased fiery battles across multiple racing series, with motorsport stars lighting up the track. The Indian Racing League stole the spotlight as Kyle Kumaran, zooming for Kichcha’s Kings Bangalore, gave a masterclass in speed and control. Starting right at the front — pole position — Kumaran carved the 2.4-kilometer circuit with absolute precision. His dominant drive led him to clinch the team’s first win this season, thrilling fans and racers alike. After his win, Kumaran said, “The car handled well and I’m thrilled to be back on the podium. Pole and P1—it doesn’t get better.” Kings Bangalore enjoyed another bright moment when veteran racer Neel Jani stormed from seventh place to snatch the third spot on the podium. In a nail-biting duel, Hyderabad Black Birds’ Akhil Rabindra clinched second place in a race that almost ended in a photo finish! The final top three in the Indian Racing League Driver A were: 1. Kyle Kumaran (Kichcha’s Kings Bangalore) – 26:34.556 2. Akhil Rabindra (Hyderabad Black Birds) – 26:36.855 3. Neel Jani (Kichcha’s Kings Bangalore) – 26:36.934 In the Formula 4 Indian Championship, a fresh face stole the show. Japanese rookie Itsuki Sato, racing for Ahmedabad Apex Racers, wowed the crowd in his very first race. Thanks to a grid penalty for Shane Chandaria, Sato started from pole and never looked back. Battling drivers from South Africa, Japan, Mozambique, and Australia, Sato clinched a dazzling lights-to-flag victory. “It was an exciting experience and I’m happy to have proven myself,” said Sato with joy after the race. Formula 4 Indian Championship Race 1 provisional top three: 1. Itsuki Sato (Ahmedabad Apex Racers) – 27:10.989 2. Ghazi Motlekar (Kolkata Royal Tigers) – 27:31.350 3. Saishiva Sankaran (Speed Demons Delhi) – 27:31.469 Meanwhile, the high-octane Formula LGB4 class of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship saw Mehul Agarwal of Dark Don Racing steal all the thunder with not one but two victories! In Race 1, Agarwal held his cool despite late-pressure challenges, finishing in 20:13.369, ahead of MSport’s Dhruvh Goswami and Dark Don’s Aditya Patnaik. In Race 2, Agarwal’s momentum continued with another brilliant win clocking 18:01.251. Goswami again finished second, while Diljith T S secured third, adding to Dark Don Racing’s celebrations. Although the second race was briefly paused due to a track incident, the drivers came back with full force for a shortened seven-lap sprint. Formula LGB4 Provisional Results: Race 1: 1. Ltd., praised the rapid growth. “What we hoped to achieve by our sixth or seventh season is already materializing in season four,” he said. Reddy pointed out how street racing, despite challenges, brings the sport closer to fans and sparks dreams among youngsters to pursue racing careers.
