Bigg Boss 19’s popular contestant Awez Darbar, recently evicted from the buzzing reality show, sat down with Times of India TV for a frank chat. The social media influencer cleared the air about wild rumours claiming he paid Rs 2 crore to quit and avoid his ex-girlfriend’s entry as a wildcard. Awez firmly denied these claims, saying, "I want to clarify something straight away, neither I nor my family did anything like that. Regarding the allegation of Rs 2 crore, let me make it clear once and for all, because I know people will keep asking me the same thing repeatedly. Nothing of that sort ever happened. Honestly, if someone had actually given me that money, I would have happily accepted it and walked away. Neither my family nor I paid any money. I'm kidding. I didn’t leave paying any kind of penalty." He shared his love for reality shows, revealing, "Earlier, when I was part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, I had to quit because of an injury, and that really upset me. I always wanted to continue. So when I finally got a chance to join Bigg Boss, the number one reality show, why would I ever walk out? Staying in the house itself is like earning crores, 2, 4, 5, or even 6. Leaving midway would only harm me, so why would I do that?" Awez didn’t hold back his feelings after the eviction. He said, "My family and I are still shocked by what happened, and honestly, I’m very disappointed. I even wondered, if they really wanted to eliminate me, why did they bring Gauahar on WKV? They could have just given me another week. At least then I could have played for one more week and people would have seen more of my game." He also questioned the votes that led to his exit, saying, "And I refuse to believe that I didn’t get enough votes, especially when I was trending No.1 on Twitter and my videos were going viral. If so many people are showing me love, why would they want me out? I never harmed anyone inside the house. But in the end, I accept it’s part of the game." Looking back, Awez called the experience amazing and full of life lessons. "My biggest takeaway is that I had an amazing experience in Bigg Boss. If I ever get another opportunity, I would go back without a second thought. It’s truly the best show, it teaches you about life, standing up for yourself, and building your personality. Before entering, I was a very soft-hearted person. But Bigg Boss has toughened me up. Earlier I was like soft ice cream, all sweet and mushy on the outside with a cone beneath. Now, that cone has become stronger. The softness is still there, but it’s within me, reserved only for those close to me. With everyone else, whether Abhishek or the other housemates, I treated them well, but I also learned to be firm," he concluded. Awez Darbar’s honest words not only clear the air but also show his heartfelt journey inside one of India’s toughest reality shows.
