Big Day in Mumbai: Over 5,000 Get Government Jobs on Compassionate Grounds After Long Wait!

October 2, 2025

Get ready, Mumbai! A joyful moment is here for over 5,000 hopefuls. On Saturday, exactly 5,187 candidates will finally get official appointment letters for government jobs given on compassionate grounds. That's not all — 5,122 candidates who secured jobs through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) will also receive their certificates, as per a recent government release. So, what’s a compassionate ground job? When a government employee passes away while still working, their spouse or child is offered a government job out of kindness and support. But sadly, many appointments got stuck for a long time. Why? Blame technical glitches and endless red tape! This dragged on till Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stepped in. CM Fadnavis didn’t just watch from the sidelines. He ordered the General Administration Department to fix the mess and kept a close eye on their progress. Plus, his team crafted a fresh new policy to speed things up. What makes this day extra special? The appointment letter ceremony for city candidates will happen right in front of CM Devendra Fadnavis himself, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. The letters for candidates in other districts will be handed out by guardian ministers there. According to a CMO official, this event marks "a key milestone in the CM's administrative reforms programme." It's a bright new chapter, rolling back years of waiting and red tape. For thousands of families, this is a dream come true — a government job that brings hope and stability. So gear up, Mumbai: this Saturday, the long wait will finally end with a thunderous applause for justice, jobs, and progress!
