Just as Turning Point USA was ready for its first show after the tragic death of its founder Charlie Kirk, a sudden shout went up about a "suspicious package" in Old Main building on September 30, 2025. University and police rushed to the site with serious faces, ready to jump into action. The campus quickly emptied out as bomb squads moved in to check the mysterious device. What was it? Thankfully, after careful investigation, it turned out to be NOT an explosive, reported NBC's local affiliate KSL. Still, to be 100% safe, the bomb squad blew up the device to make sure no dangers remained. "Out of an abundance of caution, the bomb squad detonated the suspicious device," the university alert shared. Old Main is now declared "clear and safe," and the university is back to normal. Logan Wilber, the university spokesman, told KSL.com, "Everything is moving forward as planned" for Turning Point's big event. This is a huge moment! Turning Point USA is ready to show the world its strength, without its electric leader Charlie Kirk who was tragically killed on a Utah college campus earlier this month. Remember, on September 10, 2025, Kirk was shot during a speech at Utah Valley University, only two hours south of Logan. Despite this heartbreak, Turning Point's college tour presses on with fire. Stars of the conservative world like Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Glenn Beck headline the tour. The Logan event will see podcaster Alex Clark and a powerful panel including Rep. Andy Biggs, former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, and Governor Spencer Cox. Senator Mike Lee had to skip in person but will join on video thanks to pressing budget votes in Washington. Kirk’s widow, Erika, now leads Turning Point with a team of close friends and aides of her late husband. They’re determined to keep Charlie Kirk’s spark alive.
