NAVI MUMBAI: The spicy political drama in Navi Mumbai and Thane is heating up! The strong alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena looks set to break just before the crucial municipal elections. Political watchers say both parties are ready to go head-to-head, fighting separately in these important cities. The tension got louder when Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Industries Minister Uday Samant launched fierce attacks on BJP’s Airoli MLA Ganesh Naik. This showdown highlights a deepening rift as elections draw closer. The rivalry between Shinde and Naik has turned into a full-blown war of words. Naik hasn't held back either – he openly called himself the tallest leader in Thane district and has criticized Shinde before. In response, Shinde slammed Naik’s ‘janata darbar’ style and his claims of political dominance. He confidently claimed, “Thane, which was once a Congress stronghold, is now a Shiv Sena bastion.” Not stopping there, Shinde also targeted Naik’s family members who hold major posts in the area. Shinde emphasized, “The Shiv Sena is a party of the common man,” positioning his party as the people's champion in this face-off. With emotions running high and both sides sharpening their swords, the Navi Mumbai and Thane municipal elections promise to be a thrilling battle where old friends may become fierce foes.
