Trump Dreams Big: Iran Might Join Abraham Accords, Netanyahu Backs Gaza Peace Plan!

October 1, 2025

US President Donald Trump surprised everyone on September 29, 2025, by saying Iran could possibly join the Abraham Accords! These accords are famous peace deals signed during Trump’s first term that helped Israel become friends with several Arab nations. At a White House press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said, "Who knows, maybe even Iran can get in there. I think they're going to be open to it. I really believe that. But they could be a member." He added, "We hope we’re going to be able to get along with Iran." This is a bold statement, especially because Iran and Israel fought a fierce 12-day proxy war just three months ago. Starting June 13, 2025, Israel launched massive air strikes that hit key Iranian nuclear and military sites. Over 200 Israeli fighter jets attacked more than 100 locations in Iran, including homes. Iran fired back with hundreds of ballistic missiles targeting Israeli cities. The US even joined in with strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities like Natanz and Fordow on June 22. Many lives were lost on both sides. Despite this fiery clash, Trump remains hopeful. Referring to the bombing campaigns, he said, "I bet you at some point, Iran will be a member of the Accords. And little did I realize it was going to take this turn. That was some turn we did with the B-2s. But I think they might very well be there." Quick reminder: The Abraham Accords, signed in September 2020 at the White House, were a big win for peace in the Middle East. They made Israel friends with countries like the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco. But Trump wasn’t done sharing hopes. He also revealed a daring peace plan for Gaza, aiming to end a brutal two-year war there. At the same press conference, he announced that Netanyahu backs the plan, which includes a ceasefire, swapping hostages held by Hamas and Israel, a staged Israeli pullout from Gaza, disarming Hamas, and setting up a temporary government led by an international group. Trump said they are "beyond very close" to making peace, but he warned Hamas that if they refuse, Israel would get full US support to act as it wishes. He thanked Netanyahu, saying, "Thank you for agreeing to the plan and for trusting that if we work together, we can bring an end to the death and destruction that we've seen for so many years, decades, even centuries, and begin a new chapter of security, peace, and prosperity for the entire region." So, will Iran join the peace club? Will Hamas accept the peace offer? The Middle East stands at the edge of potential history. Stay tuned!
