Pak Drone Sparks Big Search in Samba’s Ramgarh Sector, Jammu Border on High Alert!

September 30, 2025

JAMMU: A tense morning in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir! At about 6:30 AM on Sunday, sharp-eyed locals of Karalian village spotted the blinking light of a suspected Pakistani drone hovering near the International Border (IB). The mysterious light vanished quickly, but the alert villagers did not waste a second and reported it to the police. Instantly, the Border Security Force (BSF) joined hands with the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the J&K Police to kick off a thorough search operation in and around the village. The goal? To check if any weapons or narcotics were airdropped by the drone from across the border. Officials confirmed this intense search continued till late afternoon, underlining their zero-tolerance rule. Drone sightings along the Line of Control (LoC) and IB are not new—these flying gadgets have been spotted in various border districts like Rajouri, Poonch, Jammu, Samba, and Kathua. Sadly, these drones are tools often abused by Pakistan-based terrorist outfits, smuggling weapons and cash aiming to fuel unrest in Jammu and Kashmir. Just weeks ago, the BSF was on high alert after another Pakistani drone was spotted near a forward village in Ranbir Singh Pura, Jammu district on September 21. The police also uncovered a drone tangled in a tree in the Akhnoor area on September 13, revealing it carried a thermal payload! Taking this menace seriously, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is hot on the trail. They're investigating long-running cases of arms smuggling via drones and have filed chargesheets against 10 accused in Jammu. The original probe began in Kathua district on May 29, 2022, when a hexacopter drone was intercepted carrying rounds for an Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) and magnetic bombs near Dhalli area. With such persistent dangers looming, the combined efforts of BSF, police, and NIA show India is on high alert to keep the borders safe and secure.
