Get ready for some serious sky drama! Poland has shut its airspace near the southeastern cities of Lublin and Rzeszow until at least 0400 GMT on Sunday. Why? Because of “unplanned military activity related to ensuring state security,” as the flight tracking service Flightradar24 reported. It's like Poland hit the pause button on all flights in this area. The Polish armed forces wasted no time and scrambled aircraft to guard their skies after Russia launched strikes on Ukraine. The military posted on X, “In connection with the activity of the Russian Federation's long-range aviation carrying out strikes on the territory of Ukraine, Polish and allied aircraft have begun operating in our airspace.” This is a clear move to safeguard their airspace and protect their citizens. The military called these actions preventive, showing they are not taking any chances. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Air Force data revealed that air raid alerts were ringing across the country as of 0300 GMT, signaling ongoing tension and the need for readiness. This is a tense moment in Eastern Europe, with Poland acting swiftly to shield its borders as nearby conflicts unfold.
