COIMBATORE: Get ready for some spicy political talk from Tamil Nadu! Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the School Education Minister, shared some juicy updates recently at Coimbatore airport. He said that the people cheering in TVK leader Vijay's first-ever election rally in Trichy might be smiling thanks to the DMK government’s cool welfare schemes. These include the Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme, the Magalir Urimai Thogai giving Rs 1,000 cash to women, and the Tamil Pudhalvan scheme that hands Rs 1,000 monthly to government school students chasing higher studies. The minister also revealed that Chief Minister M K Stalin is not sitting quiet about the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) issue. The Supreme Court had ruled teachers who fail TET within two years must be retired with terminal benefits. But now, Stalin has ordered a review petition to challenge this. "Discussions are going on, and the petition is expected to be filed before the apex court soon," Poyyamozhi told reporters. But the drama doesn’t end there! The minister raised his voice against the Union government for holding back GST funds. These funds usually help schools run smoothly every year. According to him, the Union government is pushing policies on Tamil Nadu without understanding its needs. Poyyamozhi stressed, "Tamil Nadu is committed to protecting school children and teachers," signaling the state won’t take any shortcuts when it comes to education. In short, Tamil Nadu's education scene is buzzing with welfare, legal battles, and fund fights, with Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi leading the charge for better futures!
