New Delhi is buzzing with political drama as Bihar's Opposition Mahagathbandhan prepares a series of massive rallies at key locations across the state. The big highlight? Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav will join forces on stage to electrify crowds and fight the BJP-JDU government. These rallies are not just about numbers; they carry a sharp message. A leader involved in planning revealed, "The rallies we are planning will be jointly addressed by Rahulji and Tejashwiji. In many places, leaders of our other allies will also join them. Of course, 'SIR' and 'vote-chori' remain our major issues. The rallies will be theme-based, catering to important social sections; say, one rally will focus on the issues of youth of Bihar, the other will be on the concerns of women, another on the issue of forced migration due to unemployment in the state and similarly on issues including lack of industries, worsening law and order and the collapse of the education system in the state." In simple words, these rallies will talk about the real problems hitting Bihar's heart — jobs flying away, women’s safety, troubled schools, and poor industries. The Opposition wants to widen the debate beyond just election rigging (vote chori) and the SIR issue. They want to hit the BJP-JDU government where it hurts, showing how these troubles grew deeper during nearly 20 years under Nitish Kumar’s watch. The same leader added, "In these rallies, our leaders will present facts and figures about how these problems of Bihar only got more complex during the nearly two decades of the Nitish Kumar-led BJP-JDU rule and about our (Opposition) plans to deal with these issues, including our upcoming promises on socio-economic guarantees." There is a lively discussion even within the Opposition: Should they keep banging on about SIR and vote chori, or shift focus more on everyday bread-and-butter issues? The debate grew sharper after the Supreme Court's order allowing widely used Aadhaar cards in voter ID verification, which changed game rules for the election. Another layer to this political spice is that these rallies come just as Prime Minister Modi starts his pre-poll campaign in Bihar. The central government is flooding the state with announcements of new infrastructure and social projects. The BJP-JDU alliance looks set for a 'Modi-centric' campaign, with Nitish Kumar still popular among key EBC voters.
