Get ready for some exciting news from the roads! IRB Infrastructure, India's top private toll road builder, announced on Monday that its toll revenue in August 2025 zoomed up by 12% to Rs 563 crore. Just last year in August 2024, they collected Rs 503 crore, so this is a fantastic jump. Out of 17 tolls, the star performer was the IRB MP Expressway in Maharashtra. It contributed a hefty Rs 147.7 crore to the total, beating last year's Rs 142.1 crore. Coming in second was the IRB Golconda Expressway, part of Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road, which made Rs 73.7 crore, up from Rs 68.7 crore last year. The Ahmedabad Vadodara Super Express Tollway also showed strong muscle, growing from Rs 57.5 crore last year to Rs 69.1 crore this August. Don't forget the TOT-12 project Lalitpur Lakhnadon NH44, which raised Rs 36.1 crore compared to Rs 34.3 crore last year. Amitabh Murarka, Deputy CEO, shared his excitement: "Toll revenues for August 2025 recorded a robust 12 per cent year-on-year growth, stronger than previous month, backed by continued underlying economic growth." He also said, "This performance is particularly noteworthy given the adverse impact of weather conditions on traffic across certain assets. With the onset of the festive and holiday season, we anticipate a further strengthening of this growth momentum in the coming months." IRB Infrastructure is no small player. It is India’s largest private toll roads and highways developer, holding assets worth over Rs 80,000 crore across 12 states. Their success is a big sign of India’s booming infrastructure and growing economy, making road travel smoother and more prosperous for all!
