Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin Jets Off to Germany, Eyes Big Investments for $1 Trillion Dream

August 30, 2025

Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is packed and ready for Germany, with big dreams in his luggage! On Saturday, he began his trip to Germany and the UK, aiming to show the world why Tamil Nadu is the hottest spot for business. Since becoming CM in 2021, Stalin’s team has gathered investment proposals worth a whopping ₹10.6 lakh crore. These investments could spark over 32 lakh new jobs! "Like my earlier trips, on this one too, I will be highlighting the state’s stable law-and-order situation and strong talent base to global investors," said CM Stalin at the airport. But this isn’t his first rodeo overseas. Stalin has already traveled to the US, Japan, Spain, Singapore, and Dubai, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed. So far, those trips have sealed 36 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for investments. Even better, 23 of these projects are already rolling and creating a buzz on the ground. Driven by the wins from UAE, Japan, Singapore, Spain, and the US trips, Stalin is now setting his sights on Germany and England, hoping to bring home even bigger investments. Adding a cultural sparkle to his journey, he will attend the Centenary Conference of the Self-Respect Movement at Oxford University on September 4. With this blend of business fever and history, Tamil Nadu’s CM is stirring up a storm to hit the ambitious $1 trillion economy goal. Will the world’s investors catch the excitement and invest? Watch this space!
