Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, produced by Rajan Shahi, is one of India’s most loved TV shows, famous for its exciting stories and fresh characters. Recently, Rahul Sharma’s role as Anshuman won the hearts of many viewers. But now, sadly, Rahul’s journey on the show has ended, leaving many fans emotional. Rahul opened up about his feelings, “In just two to three months, you become part of a family, get attached to the show and the people, and it feels bad that you will no longer be a part of it. But in the end, it’s the storyline that demands it. I was told it’s a three-month track, so it’s okay because the commitment is fulfilled. I truly loved playing Anshuman.” Even though his time on the show was short, Rahul’s character made a strong identity. He said, “The kind of scenes Anshuman got were beautiful, and despite being a short track, he created his own identity. The love I have received in just a month or two is overwhelming. Though the journey was small, it left a big impact. I am grateful to Rajan Sir and DKP for giving me this opportunity.” The exit of Anshuman will be shown in a dramatic death scene. Surprisingly, Rahul said shooting this wasn’t too hard. Instead, the real challenge was saying goodbye to his friends on the set. “It was not emotionally challenging as such because this is my 15th show, and over the years, I have gotten used to saying goodbye. But this time, it felt strange because the show was continuing and my track was ending. That goodbye hit differently.” About his final scenes, Rahul shared, “I don’t think much preparation was needed for the death sequence. Having said that, I do feel if the track had been extended for another month or two, it could have created an even bigger impact. Anshuman’s journey was promising and could have grown further. But since what is decided is decided, I am happy to have been part of such a legendary show.” Rahul’s last moments were shared with Samridhii Shukla, who plays Abhira. He recalled the sad mood on the set, “Samridhii felt really bad that it was ending. She told me she wished it had gone on longer. In fact, everyone I met on set said the same thing—that the bond with the audience was just beginning to grow, and if the track had continued, it would have been even more impactful.” Looking back, Rahul treasures the memories, “In the daily hustle of shooting, you don’t realize how quickly your character’s journey comes to an end. But when you look back, you remember the little moments, the laughter, the connections you made with everyone on set. Those are the things that stay with you.” He left fans with a warm message: “Let Anshuman be remembered as the green flag, a symbol of positivity and unwavering support. Be that light in someone’s life, just as you have been for me with your endless love.” The whirlwind ride of Rahul Sharma as Anshuman might be over, but the spark he left behind shines brightly in the hearts of fans across the nation!
