Bus-Lorry Crash Near Sholinghur Injures 22 Including Students and Drivers

A serious collision happened on Perum Kanchi Main Road near Sholinghur town in Ranipet on Tuesday morning, February 3, 2026. A bus carrying 20 students to a private college in Arcot crashed head-on with a lorry. The bus driver, aged 54, was turning when he saw a lorry coming from the opposite side. He lost control, causing the vehicles to collide badly at about 8:30 a.m. The lorry driver, 61-year-old G. Vijayakumar, also got injured. Locals and other drivers quickly helped the injured and took them to Government Taluk Hospital in Sholinghur. Police from Kondapalayam have registered a case and are investigating the accident.
