NIA Raids Multiple Houses in Kashmir, Targets Terror Network Suspects

On February 3, 2026, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched a house in Rainawari's Hazari Bazar area. This is part of an ongoing terror ecosystem investigation in Kashmir Valley. Earlier, on February 2, 2026, the NIA raided six places across three Kashmir districts: Rafiabad, Sopore, and Bomai in Baramulla, Bandipora, and Parimpora in Srinagar. Officials said raids included homes of former Jamaat-e-Islami leader Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh and ex-militant Iqbal Sheikh in Bomai. They also searched residences of former government workers Mohammad Munwar Mir at Rafiabad and Farooq Ahmad Peer at Model Town, Sopore. Other raids were at Bandipora town’s retired teacher Mohammad Maqbool Mir and Zahoor-ul-Raheem’s home in Parimpora. Officials are probing terror links through these actions.
