C.J. Roy, founder and chairman of Confident Group, died from a single bullet wound to the left side of his chest, said Aravind M.N., medical superintendent of Bowring Hospital. The bullet, a 6.35 mm round, pierced Mr. Roy’s heart and passed through his lungs to the back. "It was almost a through-and-through injury, except that there was no exit wound. In our opinion, he may have collapsed instantaneously and died," Mr. Aravind explained. A CT scan was done as part of routine checks, and the bullet was retrieved and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis. The post-mortem took place on Saturday, after which the body was handed over to Mr. Roy's family.
