Telangana’s Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said Telangana has faced severe injustice in the last 11 Union Budgets. Speaking before the upcoming Union Budget, he urged the eight BJP MPs from Telangana to ensure the state gets its fair share this time. "Telangana has consistently been denied its fair share," he said. The Minister called on BJP MPs to press the Centre for adequate funding. He added that the State government has already submitted its key priorities, including dry ports, temple tourism, and airport expansion. Mr. Prabhakar also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of opposing Telangana’s formation and claimed discrimination continued despite meetings with senior Union leaders. He noted the Union Budget is to be presented on a Pournami (full moon) day, questioning if it will bring "light or darkness" to Telangana. While hopeful for a positive budget, he warned that if Telangana is neglected again, responsibility would lie with the eight BJP MPs from the State.
