The special investigation team (SIT) probing the lynching of a labourer from Chhattisgarh near Walayar has found more suspects. The attack happened on December 17 last year at Attappallam. Some of those involved are believed to have fled to Tamil Nadu. Police confirmed, "Some of those identified had direct involvement in the attack." Authorities are thinking about issuing lookout notices for the suspects on the run. They have collected many photographs and videos of the lynching incident. The victim, Ram Narayan Baghel, 31, from Champa district, Chhattisgarh, was killed by a mob accusing him of theft. Ram Narayan was a father of two kids aged eight and 10. So far, eight accused have been arrested, but about a dozen are still missing. The investigation is ongoing to bring all involved to justice.
