A doctor in Bengaluru filed a complaint on January 13, 2026, accusing her husband of hacking her mobile phone and harassing her online. The couple married on August 1, 2025, but soon separated due to disputes. They share one child. The doctor said that whenever her husband came to see their child, he illegally accessed her phone. She claimed her phone was infected with malicious software, letting him read her messages, track her movements, and listen to private talks. She found out about the hacking on November 22, 2025, after seeing an "Update Service" permission on her phone, which she did not approve. On the same day, she disabled the service and made an online complaint. Despite living apart since August 2025, she said her husband continued online harassment, shared her personal details, and threatened her. Police have registered a case and are probing the matter further.
