The UAE will hold a week-long celebration named “UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever” from January 29 to February 4. The initiative honors the long-standing friendship between the UAE and Kuwait with over 40 events across all seven emirates. Iconic landmarks will light up in Kuwait’s flag colors, alongside fireworks and drone displays. A marine parade will symbolize unity and brotherhood. Concerts, art shows, film screenings, and Kuwaiti food festivals are part of the fun. The celebration includes forums for media and economic cooperation. The UAE-Kuwait Media Forum on January 29 will highlight decades of partnership through rare documents and photos. Prominent figures who helped build these ties will be honored. On February 2, the UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum will focus on boosting trade, investment, and support for small businesses. Abu Dhabi will host “Kuwait’s Timeless Nights” concert and a sailboat parade, along with special events at malls and museums. Yas Island will offer discounted entry for UAE and Kuwaiti citizens. Dubai’s schedule includes concerts at Burj Park, live music and food at Jumeirah Kite Beach, and a Kuwaiti Cinema Week. Fireworks and drone shows will illuminate landmarks like Burj Al Arab and Dubai Festival City. Northern emirates Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah will also hold festivals and concerts featuring Kuwaiti culture and food. These events celebrate the brotherhood rooted in history. Kuwait supported the UAE’s union in 1971 and was among the first to open embassies in both countries in 1972. The week-long programme highlights strong cooperation in culture, economy, education, media, and sports, aiming to deepen ties between the two nations.
