Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing and Panjagutta Police arrested five people on Sunday, January 25. They caught alleged drug peddler Katangur Mahan Reddy, 28, a driver from Biranguda, along with Mohammad Abdul Nabi alias Arshad, an Amazon catalogue assistant, Rupani Mukesh Babu alias Banni, an IT recruiter, student Sriram Ravi Teja, and Bhupathi Sai Chaitanya alias Sunny. Police seized 10.5 grams of MDMA, 7.5 grams of hydroponic cannabis, and five mobile phones from them. Panjagutta ACP P. Murali Krishna said, "Some suppliers, transporters and consumers linked to the case are absconding." He added that special teams are tracing these suspects and conducting search operations. The police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Panjagutta Police Station and the investigation is ongoing.
