Forest Dept Issues Leopard Alert in Bidar; Residents Told to Stay Safe

The Forest Department has sounded an alert after a leopard was spotted in Bidar city and surrounding rural areas. Deputy Conservator of Forests Ashish Reddy urged the public to stay cautious and cooperate with officials. To spread awareness, the Forest Department is making public announcements and holding meetings in villages. Mr. Reddy advised residents to be careful, especially early morning and late evening. He said, "Keep children indoors after sunset and use torches or good lighting when outside at night." Livestock should be kept in well-lit, enclosed sheds to stay safe. Warning posters have been put up in villages where the leopard was seen. People are asked to call the Forest Department helpline 1926 immediately if they spot the leopard again.
