The 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was celebrated as Parakram Diwas at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Idukki on Friday. One hundred students from six nearby schools took part in the event. Officials said the program aimed to inspire young minds by sharing the heroic story of Operation Sindoor. This gave them a look into India's brave actions against terrorism to protect sovereignty and security. The participating schools were PM SHRI KV Idukki, De Paul Public School Rajamudi, JNV Kulamavu, St. Thomas Public School Karimban, EMRS Kuyilimala, and St. George HSS Vazhathope. The program was inaugurated by Agimon A. Chellamcott, Principal of PM SHRI KV Idukki. A quiz competition tested students' knowledge of national history. Anushka Vini from PM SHRI KV Idukki won first place. Muhammed Safi Afsal of JNV Kulamavu came second. Diya Anna Sanu of De Paul Public School, Rajamudi secured third place. Madhusudhanan J., Principal of EMRS Kuyilimala, gave certificates to the winners during the closing ceremony. Officials said the event lit a flame of patriotism and raised awareness about Netaji’s great legacy. It helped instill national pride by sharing the exciting history of India's defense operations.
