The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) booked over 2,000 motorists for driving the wrong way during a special enforcement drive on Wednesday. The highest violations were in the South traffic division, with 921 cases booked. West division followed with 795 cases, North division had 554, and East division recorded 113 cases. The police said the drive will continue for a week. Dedicated teams have been deployed at key spots to catch violators. This special action comes after many complaints and videos on social media showing one-way driving violations. In 2025, BTP booked 3.02 lakh cases for no-entry and wrong-side driving. Officials pointed out these numbers only cover visible violations, as many offences remain unnoticed or unreported.
