On Thursday, Kadapa streets came alive with the 'Srirama Sobha Yatra' organized by Ayodhya Ram Mandir Seva Samithi. This event marked two years since the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram temple. The route was brightened with saffron flags as a beautifully decorated chariot carrying a large image of Lord Ram started from the Anjaneya temple at Apsara Circle. The procession was officially started by TDP polit bureau member R. Srinivasa Reddy and Kadapa MLA R. Madhavi Reddy, who broke a coconut to launch the event. Large crowds of devotees gathered and performed 'Harathi' to the chariot, while enthusiastic youth raised slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram'. The event followed a colorful 'Sitarama Kalyanotsavam' held Wednesday night at the municipal grounds, which served as a festive prelude to the yatra.
