KTR Accuses Congress of Double Standards Over Davos Meetings and E Car Scam
January 22, 2026
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao sharply criticized the Congress government for double standards related to Davos engagements. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan on January 22, 2026, KTR said, “On one hand they accuse us of wrongdoing, and on the other they sit across the table with the same company in Davos.” He questioned if agreements or backroom deals are being signed there. KTR also asked if the government is protecting Greenko or threatening to withdraw cases in exchange for money. He highlighted ministers in Davos meeting various people, including an Andhra Pradesh BJP MP, and said such actions create doubts about the government’s credibility. He warned Telangana voters that supporting Congress would mean agreeing to remove newly created districts, causing anxiety among locals. KTR said the BRS will focus on district changes and Congress’ broken promises in its campaign. He added that municipality-wise party leaders from respective united districts will be announced soon. On the Singareni issue, KTR renewed his call for a judicial inquiry, saying BRS welcomes investigation from any period, including from 2014.
