A Year 4 teacher at Durham School Dubai, Sebastian Charles, has died in a road accident over the weekend. Principal Kieran McLaughlin shared the sad news with parents. Charles joined the school recently and quickly won the hearts of students and staff. He was known for his caring nature and dedication. Principal McLaughlin said, "such moments are particularly hard because schools symbolise future aspirations, and losing a respected member of staff affects everyone deeply." Due to the loss, the school postponed its planned sports day for EYFS and Key Stage 1 to next week. Principal McLaughlin asked the community to honour Charles respectfully and avoid speculation, especially on social media.
