Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has launched Swachh Category Competitions as part of Swachh Survekshan 2025–26. The aim is to promote cleanliness, better public health, and proper waste management in the city. The contests cover nine categories: Swachh School, Swachh Market Association, Swachh Government Office, Swachh Hotel, Swachh Street Vendor Zone, Swachh Auto/Taxi Stand, Swachh Hospital, Swachh RWA and Apartment Association, and Swachh Transport Hub. MCC Commissioner Sheikh Tanveer Asif released the competition posters on January 20. Officials said evaluation will focus on overall cleanliness, waste segregation at the source, reducing plastic use, hygiene management, and public participation. Participants have until January 26 to register. The prize distribution date will be announced later. Environmental engineers and health inspectors are assigned to monitor the competitions. Interested parties can contact MCC zone offices for more information. Commissioner Sheikh Tanveer Asif urged everyone to take part and help make Mysuru cleaner and greener.
