Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) recently held public hearings on Retail Supply Tariffs for 2026-27 in a hybrid format. Superintending Engineer M. Lakshmana Rao said no objections were received from the public. Hearings took place physically in Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Kurnool, while others joined via video conference, including participants from Vizianagaram. Officials, including Mr. Lakshmana Rao, participated remotely and explained the proposed tariff fixation. They hinted that there would be no upward revision in electricity tariffs for the new year. The company assured it would listen to individual grievances and suggestions to improve APEPDCL’s service. Mr. Lakshmana Rao told the media that the hybrid hearing was widely publicized to allow everyone a chance to share their views on electricity charges.
