The Sabarimala gold theft case saw fresh updates on Saturday. The Kollam Vigilance Court handed over a scientific analysis report of the temple's gold-clad artefacts to the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The report was prepared by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) after orders from the Kerala High Court. The tests focused on the Dwarapalaka sculptures and the Sreekovil door frames. The analysis will verify if the original gold plates were swapped with copper copies. The SIT plans to submit this report to the High Court on Monday. Meanwhile, senior Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru was sent to 14 days judicial custody via video conference. He faces charges related to gold theft from the Dwarapalaka sculptures, adding to his earlier arrest in connection with the Sreekovil door frames theft. Additionally, the court will hear the bail applications of the main accused, Unnikrishnan Potti, on Monday. He has requested statutory bail, citing that he has completed 90 days in custody. This case continues to unfold with legal scrutiny and scientific investigation, aiming for clarity on the temple's gold artefacts incident.
