Emirates to Start Daily Direct Flights Between Dubai and Helsinki From 2026
January 17, 2026
Emirates will begin daily nonstop flights between Dubai and Helsinki from 1 October 2026. This is the first year-round direct air link between the UAE and Finland. The flights will use Airbus A350-900 jets with Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes, including Emirates' new Premium Economy.
Flight EK167 leaves Dubai at 8:45 AM and arrives in Helsinki at 2:55 PM local time. Flight EK168 returns from Helsinki at 4:45 PM, landing in Dubai at 12:20 AM the next day. The schedule allows easy connections to other Emirates routes across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Australasia.
This new daily service is more than seasonal flights seen before. It reflects strong demand for travel between the UAE, Nordic countries, and beyond. Finland is a popular tourist spot, known for its natural beauty and quality of life. Dubai’s luxury and desert attractions now become more accessible to Finns.
The flights will boost tourism both ways. UAE residents can explore Finnish winter magic like the Northern Lights and summer's Midnight Sun. On the business side, the route helps trade in pharmaceuticals, electronics, and other goods by expanding cargo capacity.
Helsinki joining Emirates' network strengthens Dubai's role as a global travel hub. Passengers from several continents can enjoy smooth, one-stop connections through Dubai without layovers. Destinations like Tokyo, Bangkok, Nairobi, and Cape Town become easier to reach.
The service caters to tourists, business travelers, families, and diaspora communities. With three cabin classes, it suits various travelers’ needs. Emirates' use of the fuel-efficient A350 aims to improve passenger comfort and environmental impact.
This direct Dubai-Helsinki route marks a new chapter in UAE-Finland ties. It enhances travel, trade, and cultural exchange, linking one of Europe’s happiest cities with a world-class aviation center in Dubai.
