Kuwait’s Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has started a new digital service called “Residence Notification” through the government’s Sahel app. This service sends immediate alerts to property owners whenever a new rental contract is registered for their property. It gives owners real-time updates on tenancy and residency data. PACI said this allows owners to verify if a lease registration is "legitimate, accurate, and authorized." If they get a notification about a lease they did not approve, they can quickly act. Owners can cancel the residency directly in the Sahel app using the “Cancel Residents” service or visit PACI’s office. PACI explained that this service helps prevent misuse of property addresses and keeps residency information accurate. This move is part of Kuwait’s plan to digitalize public services, improve data accuracy, and link government systems better. Officials said it also helps increase transparency and efficiency for citizens and residents.
