Sikh Community Confronts Afghan Man Over Alleged Grooming of Teen in Hounslow
January 15, 2026
Around 200 Sikh men and women gathered outside a council flat in Hounslow on Sunday night. They accused a 34-year-old Afghan man of grooming a 16-year-old Sikh girl. The girl's parents had sought help from a gurdwara in Slough, fearing for their daughter who had left home to live with the man. Protesters claimed she met the man since age 14 or 15 and was groomed.
An Instagram video shows a Sikh man confronting the Afghan on the stairs, calling him a paedophile. He said, “You brainwashed and manipulated her. This isn’t Afghanistan, this is England. Why can’t you find someone of your own age?” He also accused the man of keeping the girl from 5 am to 10 pm with several other men. The Afghan replied he was in love and did not know her age.
A neighbour said she saw many underage girls visiting the flat over nine years and complained to police multiple times. She said, “There are about four guys in there. It’s disgusting.” The flat had been raided for drugs and is close to a school.
Sikh protesters shouted “Pedos out” outside the flat. One said, “The parents have gone to the police many times and nothing is being done. Why is this happening in the UK 2026? The police are turning a blind eye.”
Jaspal Singh of Shere Panjab was seen banging on the door as men called the man “paedophile” and “pervert.” Police arrived and took the man away in a van. The girl returned to her family, who joined the protest.
Jaspal said, “Why is it that Sikhs had to put a stop to this when police couldn’t? This is disgraceful. We are doing the police’s job. The Sikh community has been dealing with this for many years and we have had enough.”
Sikh Youth UK has launched a national inquiry into Sikh victims of grooming gangs. The Met police had not responded to queries at the time of reporting.
