Two Arrested in Hyderabad for Making Fake Karachi Mehendi Cones Worth ₹8 Lakh

Hyderabad police busted an illegal unit making fake Karachi mehendi cones. Two men were arrested on January 13 during simultaneous raids in Minar Colony, Balapur, and Afzalgunj. The arrested are Md Asif, 48, a carpenter, and Deepak Kumar, 25, a businessman. Police say Asif made the counterfeit mehendi cones while Kumar supplied them wholesale. Officials seized 8,400 fake mehendi cones, a filling machine, mixer, stoves, weighing machine, packaging, mobile phones, and raw materials. Asif started with unbranded mehendi cones but later copied the popular Karachi brand to boost sales. The fake products were sold in twin cities and other areas using private transport. Police are investigating further.
