Saudi Arabia is cooling down fast as a cold wave moves in from the north starting today. The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) predicts very cold weather lasting until Saturday. The cold first hits Tabuk, Al-Jawf, Northern Borders, Hail, and the northern parts of Madinah. Here, temperatures at night and early morning will drop to freezing levels, between −3°C and −1°C. By Friday and Saturday, the cold will spread south to Qassim, northern Eastern Province, and Riyadh. These regions can expect even colder nights with minimum temperatures between −4°C and 1°C, unusually low for this season. The NCM advises everyone in the affected areas to take care during cold nights and stay tuned to official weather updates as the situation changes.
