Around 300 kg of compost made from wet waste was sold to residents in Hebbal on Tuesday. The sale happened at the wet-waste processing unit in Dollar’s Colony. North City Corporation organized the sale as part of its plan to manage waste within local wards. The compost is suitable for plants and trees and was priced at ₹150 per kg. Officials said all the compost sold out quickly. This effort aims to cut down garbage sent outside neighbourhoods and to encourage residents to compost at home. Corporation Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar said, "Staff involved in solid waste management have been working on a daily basis to process organic waste and promote segregation among residents." This initiative supports cleaner surroundings and better waste habits in the area.
