Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has launched its biggest Ramadan 2026 campaign named "Joud," aiming to raise AED 130 million. Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Qasimi, SCI Chairman, inaugurated the drive to help people both in the UAE and worldwide during the Holy Month. "Joud" means "Generosity," and the campaign targets fast, dignified aid to vulnerable communities. SCI plans to distribute 1.3 million iftar meals and Ramadan food baskets to 25,000 beneficiaries. They will also provide Zakat al-Fitr support to 35,000 people and Eid clothes to 3,000 beneficiaries. The funds include AED 71 million for operational costs, AED 4 million for medical treatment, AED 3 million for debt relief, and AED 1 million for housing aid. The charity expects to reach over two million beneficiaries this Ramadan. SCI also introduced a new digital donation app with an AI assistant named "Ahmed" to make giving easy and fast. Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, SCI board member, urged the public to download the app and join in. This launch adds to the UAE’s larger Ramadan charity efforts, including the UAE Food Bank’s campaigns, showing a strong spirit of giving across the nation.
