The North Division Cyber Crime Police in Bengaluru registered a case against a YouTube channel for uploading a question paper resembling the official Pre-University (PU) board exam paper. The FIR was filed on January 9 after a complaint by Raju N., Joint Director of the Department of Pre-University Education. The complaint said the Hindi preparatory exam was set for January 9. Yet, on January 8 at 4 pm, the department saw that a YouTube account named NiranjanShetty@NiranjanShetty9581 had uploaded a Hindi question paper closely matching the official exam format. Officials fear this could mislead students into thinking it was the real exam or an official model paper. The Joint Director called it "an attempt to create confusion among students during the examination period." Police are investigating and trying to trace the accused based on their social media account.
