Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) announced that rolling stock type tests on the Pink Line corridor between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere will begin on January 11, 2026. This stretch covers 7.5 kilometers. The tests are expected to finish by mid-April. According to the BMRCL release on Saturday, this main line testing is key before the line is commissioned. The process checks train performance and how well the system parts work together under real conditions. It is necessary to get statutory approvals for the metro line. The tests will include traction and brake type tests, oscillation trials at different speeds, and integration tests with signals, power, and telecommunication systems. These comprehensive checks ensure the safety and efficiency of the Pink Line before it opens to the public.
