IndiaOneAir Flight Makes Safe Forced Landing Near Rourkela After Technical Issue

A flight from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela faced a technical problem and made a forced landing on January 10, 2026. The regional airline IndiaOneAir operated the flight using a nine-seater Cessna Grand Caravan. The flight crew reported a technical issue about 50 minutes into the flight and declared a “Mayday” call. Following safety procedures, the pilots safely landed the aircraft in an open area near Kansor, 15–20 km short of Rourkela, around 13:20 PM. The plane had four passengers and two crew members. The airline confirmed that all on board are safe with no serious injuries. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau will investigate the incident. IndiaOneAir runs flights under the government's UDAN scheme, which aims to improve air connectivity to tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
