The three-day Solar Renewable Energy Expo began at 'A' Convention Centre in Vijayawada on Friday, December 20. The event sees a good public turnout. It is organised by the Andhra Pradesh Solar Energy Association. The expo features a wide range of solar products: PV modules, power inverters, energy storage systems (BESS), solar pumps, EV chargers, power cables, switchgear, and batteries. Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan and Kamalakar Babu, chairperson and managing director of New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh, attended the inaugural session. Organisers say the positive response matches government efforts like the 'PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana'. This scheme offers subsidies for residential solar panels, boosting public interest and demand for solar energy. Odisha Governor Kambhampati Hari Babu is set to visit the expo on Sunday, organisers confirmed.
