Karnataka police have filed 12 cases involving 'Pakistan zindabad' slogans over the last two-and-a-half years. This includes six suo motu cases, Home Minister G. Parameshwara told the Legislative Council on Thursday. He was responding to a question from C.T. Ravi. In total, the police filed 61,299 suo motu cases in Karnataka during this period for various incidents. Chargesheets were filed in 57,646 of these cases. On the 'Pakistan zindabad' cases, 12 persons were arrested. Chargesheets have been filed in five cases, B reports in two cases, and a C report in one case. Three cases are still under investigation. For one case, the forensic science lab (FSL) report is awaited, the minister added.
