Air India Express Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Kochi Due to Tyre Failure

On Thursday morning, December 18, 2025, Air India Express flight IX 398 from Jeddah to Kozhikode was diverted to Kochi airport due to a technical problem. The issue involved the right main landing gear and tyre failure. The plane carried 160 passengers and landed safely under full emergency conditions at 9:07 a.m. All emergency services were ready before landing. Sources confirmed there were no injuries among passengers or crew. After the plane landed, inspection showed that both right-side tyres had burst.
