Indian Army troops caught a 35-year-old Pakistani woman who crossed into Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district along the Line of Control (LoC). Officials said she fled from her home in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after having an argument with her father. The woman, identified as Shehnaz Akhtar from the Gimma area of Kotli district in PoK, was held by the troops on December 16 in the Dabbi forward area of the Balakote sector. Preliminary checks confirmed the reason for her crossing was a family dispute. The woman has not yet been handed over to the police for further action.
