Elaborate plans are set for TVK leader Vijay's campaign rally near Vijayamangalam toll plaza in Perundurai taluk on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Vijay will fly from Chennai to Coimbatore, travel 68 km by road to the venue, and address about 35,000 people between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. After the rally, he will return to Coimbatore to catch a flight back to Chennai. The party has asked supporters not to follow his vehicle on the road and to follow police orders strictly. Parking is arranged at designated spots, and pregnant women, children, and the elderly are advised not to attend for safety. Security is tight with over 1,000 police personnel plus private guards. The venue is monitored by 60 CCTV cameras and equipped with ambulances, medical teams, drinking water, and toilets. Police Superintendent A. Sujatha inspected the site on December 17 to check preparations. This rally marks Vijay's first public appearance in Tamil Nadu since the Karur rally tragedy on September 27, which killed 41 people. Vijay will address the crowd from the rooftop of his campaign bus. The event also highlights the participation of K.A. Sengottaiyan, who recently left AIADMK and joined TVK as chief coordinator.
