Telangana Excise Busts Six in Hyderabad Drug and Liquor Raids, Seizes 2 Kg Ganja and More

On Saturday, Telangana Excise and Prohibition Department arrested six people in multiple raids across Hyderabad and its outskirts. Officials seized 2 kg ganja, small amounts of MDMA, illicit liquor, vehicles, and mobile phones from the accused.
In the first case, the State Task Force (STF) City team caught Panduga Bhanu with 1.1 kg of ganja. Later, they linked Bobbala Narendra Reddy to the case and registered charges against him. They seized a motorcycle used in the crime. Both men and evidence were sent to the Bhongir excise station.
In KPHB Colony, another STF team arrested 23-year-old Reniguntla Ajay for selling ganja. They found 100 grams ganja and 0.40 grams MDMA on him. His two-wheeler and mobile phone were seized. He was taken to the KPHB excise station.
Musheerabad police seized 480 grams ganja from Abdul Samad. They confiscated his phone and motorcycle. He was brought before the Musheerabad excise station.
Near Hanuman Temple at Bagh Lingampally, Chikkadpally, STF officers caught Avadhoota Harshavardhan with 230 grams ganja. The accused and the drugs were handed over to the local excise station.
In another operation, 20 bottles of illicit liquor were seized from Indian Family Dhaba and Restaurant in Annaram village on the Hyderabad–Narsapur highway. Two men, G. Hemanth Kumar and G. Keshav Kumar from Sangareddy district, were booked. Their two-wheeler and the liquor were given to the Patancheru excise station for further probe.
AES Srinivas Rao confirmed the arrests and seizures. The Excise department continues its crackdown on drug and liquor trafficking in and around Hyderabad.
