Bahrain Announces Public Holidays for National Day and King Hamad's Accession Day in December 2025
December 10, 2025
The Kingdom of Bahrain will close all government offices on Tuesday, December 16, and Wednesday, December 17, 2025. This pause is to celebrate two major holidays: National Day and the Accession Day of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued an official circular confirming the closure of all ministries, government departments, and public institutions.
These holidays mark important moments in Bahrain's history. National Day celebrates the Kingdom's achievements and unity. Accession Day remembers King Hamad’s rise to the throne and his leadership in national development.
The two days will be recognized across the country, with all government operations paused. Citizens and residents are advised to plan accordingly, as essential services may adjust their schedules. Public institutions will inform about any specific changes.
These celebrations are a time for Bahraini people to show national pride and come together, honoring both tradition and progress under the King's leadership.
