The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) will hold an e-lottery on Wednesday to allot 22 returnable plots to 14 farmers from Undavalli village. These farmers gave their lands for the Seed Access Road under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). The e-lottery starts at 4 p.m. at APCRDA’s Rayapudi headquarters in Thulluru mandal, Guntur district. Fourteen residential and eight commercial plots will be allotted through an online random system. APCRDA has asked the farmers to be present for the lottery. About ten years ago, Undavalli farmers refused to join the LPS and took the government to court, delaying the Seed Access Road project. After talks involving Ministers, local leaders, and officials, the farmers agreed to withdraw the case. This road is vital as it connects the State to the capital city. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana said, “The Seed Access Road will be ready within months and connect to the National Highway to ensure smooth connectivity to the capital city.” Currently, most VIP and VVIP traffic uses the narrow Karakatta Road by the Krishna River. The new road will ease traffic flow and feature an elevated corridor to cross canals and junctions between Undavalli and the National Highway, APCRDA officials added.
